Michael Clarke Hails Nitish Kumar Reddy as a "Genius"

Nitish Kumar Reddy, the young Telugu cricketer, has been earning accolades for his remarkable performance in the Border–Gavaskar Trophy. In the fourth Test held at Melbourne, Nitish batted at number eight in the first innings and scored 14 runs off 189 balls, including 11 fours and a six. His innings displayed exceptional grit and patience, earning him widespread praise.

Former Australian captain Michael Clarke commended Nitish's performance, calling him a "genius." Clarke remarked, "This young player has exceeded expectations and is performing brilliantly in the series. At just 21 years old, he has already become a key batter for Team India. He showed no fear against any Australian bowler and demonstrated great patience when required." Clarke also highlighted Nitish's all-round abilities, stating that his batting, bowling, and fielding make him a crucial asset for Team India. He further opined that Nitish could play a decisive role in the final Test against Australia.

Meanwhile, with their win in the Melbourne Test, Australia has taken a 2-1 lead in the series. The fifth and final Test is set to begin on January 3 at Sydney, with Team India determined to level the series 2-2 with a victory.
