Revanth Reddy: Why Are Film Celebrities Consoling Allu Arjun?
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticized actor Allu Arjun, alleging his actions led to a tragic stampede at the Sandhya Theatre. Revanth Reddy claimed that despite being advised against visiting the theater, Allu Arjun arrived, disregarding instructions, and this resulted in a chaotic situation leading to the death of a woman named Revathi and severe injuries to her son, who is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
During a legislative assembly session, AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi called on the government to issue a statement about the Sandhya Theatre incident. Responding to the discussion, Revanth Reddy expressed his views, stating that he did not expect the issue to be raised in the assembly. He added that the matter is under investigation, and excessive discussion might hinder the investigation process.
Revanth Reddy alleged that Allu Arjun disregarded directives and conducted a roadshow on the way to the theater, waving to fans from the rooftop of his car. This, according to Revanth Reddy, attracted thousands of fans to gather, causing the stampede. Expressing grief over the incident, he stated that Revathi lost her life, and her son is battling brain damage in the hospital.
The Chief Minister further accused the actor’s actions of directly leading to the tragedy. Criticizing the film industry, Revanth Reddy lamented that despite the child being in a coma for 20 days, not a single film celebrity visited the hospital to offer condolences. He questioned the outpouring of support for Allu Arjun, asking, “Has he lost an eye or a leg? Why is everyone rushing to console him?” Revanth Reddy also expressed anger over the uproar surrounding the potential arrest of a film star, questioning why such incidents lead to excessive drama.
