Tollywood Is the Best Industry in the Country: Mohanlal

Malayalam star actor Mohanlal, speaking at a recent press meet in Hyderabad, praised the Telugu film industry as the best in the country. The event was organized to promote his upcoming film L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. This film is the sequel to the blockbuster hit Lucifer and is scheduled for release on March 27. Producer Dil Raju also attended the event alongside Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

During his address, Mohanlal expressed his admiration for the Telugu film industry, stating, “Telugu audiences have a remarkable way of respecting actors, and that deeply impresses me.” He noted that in his 47-year-long career, he has had the privilege of working with many Telugu actors, describing his experience of acting alongside Akkineni Nageswara Rao as particularly fortunate.

Mohanlal also remarked that while his Malayalam films were previously remade in Telugu, he is now delighted to see his latest project being released directly in Telugu. He shared that two years of hard work had gone into the making of L2: Empuraan and expressed confidence about celebrating the film’s 50-day success function with the audience.

Producer Dil Raju is releasing the film across the two Telugu states under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
