IT Raids at Director Sukumar’s Residence: Raids Continue on Film Industry Figures

Income Tax officials conducted searches at the residence of acclaimed director Sukumar in Hyderabad early on Wednesday morning as part of ongoing operations targeting prominent figures in the Telugu film industry. This marks the second consecutive day of raids on the homes and offices of key individuals connected to recent high-profile movie projects.
The raids follow the massive box-office success of the recently released film Pushpa 2. Income Tax officials have also been inspecting the premises of the film's producers, Mythri Movie Makers, since Tuesday. Extensive searches are being conducted at Sukumar’s residence as part of this operation.
In addition to Sukumar, raids are ongoing at the residence and office of prominent producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) Chairman, Dil Raju. Officials are scrutinizing financial documents as part of their investigation into alleged irregularities.
The scope of the operation extends to several other locations, including the offices of Mythri Movie Makers and the residences of producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar. Mango Media, a prominent media company, and financiers such as Satya Rangayya Finance and producer Abhishek Agarwal have also been targeted in the raids.
Authorities are reportedly examining financial records and other documentation related to recent projects, focusing on potential discrepancies.
