'Pushpa 2' Collections Under IT Scrutiny

Hyderabad witnessed continued Income Tax (IT) raids for the second consecutive day. The raids targeted prominent production houses, including Mythri Movie Makers, Sri Venkateswara Creations, and Mango Media. Officials focused on examining investments and revenues related to the film industry, particularly scrutinizing the financial details of the highly successful movie Pushpa 2.

Producers have declared that Pushpa 2 has earned over ₹1,700 crore to date. Following these claims, IT officials are investigating the film's budget, revenue streams, and associated tax payments. Nearly 55 IT officials conducted simultaneous inspections across Hyderabad, reviewing financial records to verify reported earnings and tax compliance.

Authorities are primarily assessing the total income generated and the taxes paid on these revenues to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
