BRS MLA Mallareddy's Sensational Remarks on Party Switching

Medchal MLA and senior BRS leader Mallareddy's meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has become a hot topic in political circles. The meeting was also attended by Mallareddy's son-in-law, Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, sparking speculation that both may be planning to switch parties.

Addressing these rumors, Mallareddy made striking comments about party-switching leaders. “It is inappropriate to claim that meeting the Chief Minister implies switching parties,” Mallareddy stated. He explained that his meeting with Revanth Reddy was focused on development works in the district and issues related to medical and engineering seats. He questioned the media, asking, “What is wrong in meeting the Chief Minister to discuss pending projects in my constituency?”

Mallareddy further stated that those BRS leaders who recently joined Congress are struggling to adjust and are facing difficulties. “I am witnessing their troubles firsthand. How can I think of changing parties after seeing their situation?” he sarcastically remarked.

He also pointed out his age, stating, “I am 72 years old. Why would I switch parties at this age?” Adding further clarity, he mentioned that four members of his family are ready to contest from BRS if needed. Regarding future elections, Mallareddy declared, “If Jamili elections are held, I will contest as an MP.”
