Dark Comedy Crime Thriller Arrives on OTT!
The Malayalam film Praveen Koodu Shappu, featuring popular actors Soubin Shahir, Basil Joseph, and Chemban Vinod Jose, is set for its OTT release. Directed by Sriraj Srinivasan, the movie belongs to the dark comedy crime thriller genre. It was originally released in theaters on January 16, 2025.
Made on a budget of ₹18 crore, Praveen Koodu Shappu will soon be available on the streaming platform SonyLIV. The official announcement confirms that the movie will premiere on April 11, 2025. A promotional poster was also released to mark the occasion. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.
The storyline revolves around a remote village where 11 men are drinking at a local toddy shop. Due to continuous rain, they stay back overnight, playing cards. The next morning, the shop owner is found dead, hanging from a noose. The police take all 11 into custody as suspects. The mystery unfolds as the film explores who committed the murder and why.
