KTR Heading for ACB Inquiry Accompanied by Lawyer

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) is scheduled to appear before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today in connection with the Formula E-car race case, where he is listed as Accused No. 1. As per Telangana High Court’s directions, KTR will be accompanied by his lawyer during the inquiry. However, the court has specified that the lawyer can only wait in the library room at the ACB office and will not be permitted to enter the inquiry chamber.

There is a heightened sense of activity at KTR’s residence in Nandinagar, with several prominent political leaders gathering there. Among those present are his sister and Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Kavitha, MLA Kaushik Reddy, former ministers Vemula Prashanth Reddy and Satyavathi Rathod, and former MLAs Korukanti Chander and Padma Devender Reddy. Additionally, KTR’s legal team, including lawyer Ramachandra Rao, has also arrived at his residence.

KTR will head to the ACB office along with lawyer Ramachandra Rao. In anticipation of his visit, strict security measures have been implemented at the ACB premises. Barricades are being set up on the road leading to the office, and reports suggest that some BRS leaders have been placed under house arrest as a precautionary measure.

There is speculation that if KTR is arrested by the ACB, BRS party cadres may launch statewide protests. In light of this possibility, district Superintendents of Police (SPs) and Commissioners have reportedly been instructed to remain on high alert to maintain law and order.
