Sajjanar Shares Video Exposing False Promises of Easy Money
VC Sajjanar, IPS officer and Managing Director of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), has issued a cautionary message regarding deceptive online advertisements that claim people can earn huge sums effortlessly by sitting at home. To raise public awareness about online betting apps, Sajjanar shared a video warning individuals to stay vigilant against such fraudulent schemes.
Sajjanar remarked, "There is nothing wrong with having aspirations, but greed can only lead to ruin." Referring to a particular video claiming that an initial investment of ₹1,000 could miraculously turn into ₹1 lakh within minutes, he clarified that such claims are outright false. He urged people not to fall for promises of 99-fold returns, as these are clear signs of scams.
In his advisory, Sajjanar cautioned people against getting ensnared by online betting apps, which lure users by showing stacks of currency notes and tempting them with unrealistic profits. He stressed that blindly trusting these fraudulent schemes could result in financial ruin and personal distress. “Remember, excessive greed ultimately leaves one with nothing but regret and sorrow,” he said.
Further emphasizing the need for vigilance, Sajjanar advised people to take proactive steps by reporting any information about these fraudulent betting app operators to the nearest police station. "It’s better to be cautious beforehand than regret later," he added, urging people not to let these scammers exploit their desire for easy money.
