High Court Delivers Setback to KTR by Dismissing Quash Petition
After hearing arguments from both sides, the High Court had reserved its verdict. On Tuesday morning, the court announced its decision, rejecting KTR’s quash petition. The court stated that it considered the ACB’s arguments before arriving at its judgment.
The case pertains to the Formula E race organized in Hyderabad, where KTR allegedly bypassed certain regulations and approved payments without the necessary clearance from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The ACB claimed that KTR had orally instructed officials to release ₹55 crore, which was done without following standard procedures. The ACB has accused KTR of misusing his official position and violating financial guidelines by facilitating the transfer of funds abroad without proper authorization.
