Pant: Dhoni’s Presence Brings Courage and Confidence to the Team

Rishabh Pant, speaking about former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni, stated that Dhoni will always be remembered as an iconic figure in cricket history. According to Pant, Dhoni’s presence in the team fosters courage and confidence. He acknowledged that replacing Dhoni is extremely difficult and described him as a mentor. “I have learned many things from Dhoni, both as a cricketer and personally,” said Pant.

Pant further elaborated that Dhoni has fans across the world, including within the Indian team itself. He praised Dhoni, calling him a hero for the country. He mentioned that Dhoni had advised him on the importance of patience for a wicketkeeper. Pant added, “I always try to apply Dhoni’s advice on the field and give my best performance.”

He clarified that he does not compare himself to Dhoni in terms of records, acknowledging that it is not easy to surpass Dhoni’s achievements in the near future.
