AP Cabinet Meeting Scheduled for January 17
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet is set to convene once again on January 17, with the meeting scheduled to begin at 11 AM at the first building of Velagapudi Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. A circular regarding the Cabinet meeting was issued by Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand. Departments have been instructed to submit their respective proposals to the Cabinet Secretariat by January 16, with special chief secretaries, principal secretaries, and secretaries of all departments receiving specific orders in this regard.
One of the key issues to be discussed during this meeting is the allocation of liquor shops to the toddy-tapping community (Geetha Kula) and the potential revision of liquor prices. Additionally, other significant matters are expected to be reviewed during the Cabinet discussions. Reports indicate that there will also be a discussion on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s upcoming visit to Davos. Following the Cabinet meeting, on the next day, Chandrababu Naidu, along with his team, is expected to depart for the World Economic Forum summit scheduled to be held in Davos.
Notably, the previous AP Cabinet meeting took place on January 2, during which the Cabinet deliberated on 14 key issues and granted approval. One of the major decisions made was the allocation of ₹2,733 crores for development works in the capital city, Amaravati.
