A Battle Between a Collector and a Minister is the Game Changer: Shankar
At the pre-release event of the film Game Changer held in Rajahmundry, acclaimed director Shankar shared his thoughts on making his first direct Telugu film. Speaking to an enthusiastic audience, he said, “Although I have earned a fan base in Telugu through several dubbed films, I had not worked on a direct Telugu film until now. With Game Changer, that void has been filled.”
Expressing his gratitude towards the Telugu audience, Shankar added, “The love and affection shown by the Telugu people have always been immense. I wanted to give something back to them, and Game Changer is the result of that intention.” He thanked producer Dil Raju and actor Ram Charan for their support in bringing his long-pending wish to fruition.
Discussing the film's storyline, Shankar revealed, “Game Changer is a complete Telugu film, deeply rooted in Telugu traditions. We ensured that most of the cast comprised Telugu actors, and a significant portion of the film was shot in Telugu locations. The core of the story revolves around a fierce battle between a collector and a minister. There’s also a backstory for the protagonist, which integrates seamlessly into the main narrative.”
Praising Ram Charan's performance, Shankar said, “Ram Charan didn’t just act in this film—he lived the character. His performance is elegant and heartfelt. I wholeheartedly congratulate him for his brilliant portrayal.”
The director also extended his appreciation to the cast and crew of the film, including Kiara Advani, Anjali, Srikanth, S. J. Suryah, and Naveen Chandra, for their contributions. He further lauded the efforts of music director Thaman, whose work, he said, played a crucial role in making the film impactful. “I sincerely thank Thaman and all the technicians who worked hard to make Game Changer a solid film,” Shankar concluded.
