Chhattisgarh Witnesses Another Gunbattle: 12 Maoists Killed
In a significant blow to Naxalite forces, 12 Maoists were killed in an intense encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred early today in the Abujhmad forest region of Narayanpur district, during a combing operation by security personnel as part of an ongoing anti-Naxal operation.
The combing operation covered several districts, including Narayanpur, Dantewada, Jagdalpur, and Kondagaon. Around 3 a.m., security forces encountered a group of Maoists, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Acting swiftly, the security forces retaliated, resulting in the deaths of 12 Maoists, according to official reports.
Authorities confirmed that the anti-Naxal operation is still underway in the area, with security forces maintaining vigilance to neutralize further threats.
