SP's Leave During My Inspection Raises Suspicions: Pawan Kalyan

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan conducted an inspection of Kakinada Port today. For a while now, Pawan has been alleging illegal transportation of rice from the port. As part of his investigation, he visited the port and made some noteworthy comments.

Pawan expressed suspicion over the district Superintendent of Police (SP) going on leave at the same time as his inspection of the port. He questioned why the SP was absent during such a critical investigation.

Accompanied by the State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar, Pawan Kalyan inspected a large ship allegedly involved in transporting illegal rice. Speaking to the media afterward, he stated that his claims during the election campaign about rice smuggling from Kakinada Port had been proven true by today’s findings. He revealed that thousands of tons of rice had been seized.

Pawan criticized the situation at Kakinada Port, claiming it has turned into a "free-for-all" where illegal transportation is rampant. He further stated that despite Minister Nadendla Manohar taking action to seize smuggled rice and file cases, police, revenue, and civil supplies department officials have been taking only superficial measures. Pawan Kalyan expressed his deep dissatisfaction with their negligence.
