Supreme Court Hearing on Chandrababu Naidu's Bail Cancellation Postponed

Supreme Court Hearing on Chandrababu Naidu's Bail Cancellation Postponed

The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing on a petition seeking the cancellation of bail granted to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development case. The Andhra Pradesh High Court had earlier granted bail to Chandrababu Naidu in this case. The Andhra Pradesh CID had challenged this High Court decision in the Supreme Court during the tenure of the previous YSRCP government.

Senior Counsel Mukul Rohatgi represented the government virtually and he informed the court that a decision on the petition for bail cancellation would be made soon. Rohatgi requested additional time, stating that he wished to personally attend the hearing but was currently not in Delhi, and sought an extension until January. Following this, the Supreme Court adjourned the next hearing to the second week of January.
