Half-day schools from April 4 in AP: Minister Suresh

Due to prevailing heatwave conditions in the state, Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh on Friday said that schools would run for half-a-day beginning from April 4. Timings for students from Monday onwards are from 7:30 to 11:30 am. 
 
The Department of School Education has passed a circular to all District Education Officers (DEOs) to ensure that timings are enforced strictly by government and private school managements, giving priority to health of the students in view of the summer severity. Meanwhile, exams for tenth and Intermediate students would begin from April 27 and May 6 respectively, the minister mentioned.
