Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu Graces ‘International Ink Bound 2.0’ as Chief Guest
The second edition of ‘International Ink Bound 2.0’, organised by Kasturi Vijaya Publishers, was held grandly on Saturday evening at Prasad Labs. The event was organised under the leadership of Kasturi Vijaya founder Pamarthi Sudheer Pamireddy.
Former Vice President Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu, writer and actor Tanikella Bharani, and former Rajya Sabha member Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad attended the event as chief guests.
On the occasion, Venkaiah Naidu unveiled the Telugu, Hindi and English editions of ‘Screenplay Master Sukumar’, authored by Dr. Praveen Yajjala and published by Kasturi Vijaya Publishers. He also launched ‘Avemaina Gnapakala? Marchipovadanika?’, authored by renowned writer Vanguri Chitten Raj.
Along with these books, the publishers also unveiled ‘Ammamma Kathala Khajana’, an anthology featuring 48 stories, with the respective authors participating in the launch.
Speaking at the event, Venkaiah Naidu said, “A book is a treasure trove of sweet memories. Chitten Raj has brought many interesting aspects to light through this book. He has also reminded us of our traditions that are gradually being forgotten, including our attire, customs and language.
“Interestingly, our traditions are being followed more enthusiastically by Indians living abroad than by people in India. In the name of Western culture, many people in India are adopting strange trends and moving away from our traditional values.
“It is commendable that a book on filmmaker Sukumar, titled ‘Screenplay Master Sukumar’, has been brought out. Cinema should provide knowledge along with entertainment. When humour and grammar come together, cinema gains glamour. Film personalities should take the initiative in this direction. It is also appreciable that a book on director Sukumar has been published in three languages.”
Actor and writer Tanikella Bharani said, “Sudheer Pamireddy’s family has always been passionate about literature. It is appreciable that the entire family is involved in publishing these books.
“Praveen Yajjala, who authored ‘Screenplay Master Sukumar’, previously brought out a book featuring a comparative study of the story and screenplay of my film ‘Na Mithunam’. I will also read the book written on Sukumar and share my views on it.
