YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy Appears Before SIT Inquiry

YSR Congress Party Member of Parliament Peddireddi Mithun Reddy appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Saturday in connection with the liquor scam case. He arrived at the SIT office in Vijayawada earlier in the day and subsequently took part in the official inquiry proceedings.

The investigation relates to a multi-thousand crore liquor scam that allegedly occurred during the tenure of then Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. It is known that Adan Distilleries Private Limited was among the companies that allegedly received undue benefits during this period. Former Member of Parliament and YSR Congress Party leader V. Vijayasai Reddy revealed on Friday that both Raj Kasireddy and Rajampet MP Peddireddi Mithun Reddy were associated with the company.

Following Vijayasai Reddy’s statement, SIT officials summoned Peddireddi Mithun Reddy for questioning based on the testimony given the previous day.

It is also known that the alliance government has been alleging that the liquor scam took place under the rule of the YSR Congress Party. As part of the ongoing investigation into these allegations, a Special Investigation Team was constituted.
