Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Visits Tokyo Metro

During his official visit to Japan, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy toured the Tokyo Metro. The Tokyo Metro, constructed with nine lines, is known for its cutting-edge infrastructure. The Telangana delegation examined its operational mechanisms and technological applications. They also reviewed the highly passenger-friendly services offered by the metro system.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also visited the headquarters of Sony Corporation. He held discussions with the team from Crunchyroll, the animation subsidiary of Sony. During these meetings, he explained the investment opportunities available in Hyderabad, particularly highlighting the favorable conditions for the animation, VFX, and gaming sectors.

Subsequently, a delegation from the Japanese company Marubeni met with the Chief Minister to discuss the “Future City” project. Marubeni Corporation came forward to establish a next-generation industrial park as part of this initiative. An agreement to this effect was signed by the officials. Revanth Reddy stated that this would be the first project developed within the Future City framework and asserted that it would generate 30,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the state.

The Chief Minister also held discussions with representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He explored options for funding development projects in Telangana, including financial assistance for the second phase of the metro rail and the rejuvenation of the Musi River. Revanth Reddy also sought support for the development of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and the Regional Ring Road (RRR).
