Disappointed with Jagan’s Leadership, Marri Rajasekhar to Join TDP

MLC Marri Rajasekhar, who recently resigned from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), has announced that he will soon be joining the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The declaration was made by Rajasekhar himself during a press meet held at his residence in Chilakaluripet, Palnadu district, alongside party leaders and supporters.

Explaining the reasons behind his resignation, Rajasekhar stated that he was frustrated with the approach of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Despite his dedicated efforts towards the party’s growth as the Palnadu district president, he claimed he was met with disrespect and humiliation.

Recalling the events of the 2019 elections, Rajasekhar alleged that although he was confident of winning, his seat was given to another candidate. He added that Jagan Mohan Reddy had publicly promised to make him an MLC and later appoint him as a minister if the party came to power. However, he accused the Chief Minister of betraying him by not fulfilling those promises.

Rajasekhar expressed disappointment over the lack of respect and recognition within the party. He further mentioned that the candidate who contested from Chilakaluripet in 2019, now contested from Guntur in the 2024 elections. He alleged that the seat was reassigned to another individual without even informing him.

He concluded that he was resigning from YSRCP due to his dissatisfaction with Jagan Mohan Reddy's unreliable leadership style.
