‘Empuran’ Trailer Featuring Malayalam Superstar Garners Attention

The powerful trailer of L2E: Empuran has been released, featuring compelling dialogues like, “They are not my children... Those who follow me are my children,” and “When the son of God commits injustice, who else can we turn to for help but the Devil?” The film, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, promises a cinematic experience filled with political intrigues, strategies, counter-strategies, and impactful heroism, according to the trailer. It is the second installment of a planned trilogy.

The trailer suggests that L2E: Empuran will introduce new characters surpassing those from the first film. The plot centers on the protagonist’s battle to protect his kingdom from powerful enemies united to destroy it.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and starring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal as Qureshi-Ab’ram alias Stephen Nedumpally, the film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Game of Thrones fame Jerome Flynn, Abhimanyu Singh, Andrea Thivadar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Fazil, Sachin Khedekar, Naila Usha, Giju John, Nandu, Shivaji Guruvayur, S Manikuttan, O’Neil, Eric Ebouaney, Mikhail Novikov, Karthikeya Dev, and others. Jerome Flynn is making his Indian film debut with this movie.

The production of L2E: Empuran is considered one of the most ambitious projects in Malayalam cinema. It is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas and Gokulam Gopalan under Sree Gokulam Movies, with Murali Gopy providing the script.

The film is set to release on March 27 in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil. Notably, the trailer was launched in IMAX format at INOX Megaplex, Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai — a first for the Malayalam film industry. The film’s distribution is being handled by Sri Venkateswara Creations (Dil Raju) in Telugu states, AA Films (Anil Thadani) in North India, Hombale Films in Karnataka, and Sree Gokulam Movies (Gokulam Gopalan) in Tamil Nadu.

The trailer has generated excitement among fans and audiences eagerly awaiting the release of L2E: Empuran. The anticipation is further heightened by the fact that it will be the first Malayalam film to be released in IMAX format, aiming to provide a grand cinematic experience worldwide.
