Prakash Raj Responds to Pawan Kalyan’s Comments on the Hindi Language

Actor and politician Prakash Raj has responded to Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan’s recent remarks on the Hindi language. His response comes amid ongoing political debates in Tamil Nadu over allegations that the central government is imposing Hindi on non-Hindi-speaking states.

Taking to social media platform X, Prakash Raj, who frequently uses the hashtag #justasking to counter political statements, reacted to Pawan Kalyan’s comments. He wrote, “Saying ‘Don’t impose your Hindi on us’ is not the same as hating another language. It is about protecting our mother tongue and our cultural identity with pride. Can someone please explain this to Pawan Kalyan?” His tweet has since gone viral on social media.

Prakash Raj’s remarks were in response to Pawan Kalyan’s speech at the Jana Sena Party’s foundation day celebrations. During the event, Pawan Kalyan addressed the controversy over the imposition of Hindi, particularly in Tamil Nadu. He stated, “Whenever we speak, people claim that Hindi is being forced on South India. But aren’t all Indian languages equally important? If Tamil Nadu is against Hindi, then why dub Tamil films into Hindi? They want money from Hindi-speaking states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh, they want workers from Bihar, but at the same time, they say they hate Hindi. Is this fair? This mindset needs to change—there is no need to hate any language.”
