KTR Strongly Reacts to Jagadish Reddy’s Suspension

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly condemned the suspension of BRS MLA Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy from the Telangana Legislative Assembly until the conclusion of the budget session. In response to this decision, BRS MLAs and MLCs staged a protest near the Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad.
Addressing the media, KTR alleged that Jagadish Reddy’s suspension was a deliberate act. He asserted that Jagadish Reddy did not make any disrespectful remarks against the Speaker and claimed that his words were misrepresented. "Jagadish Reddy did not violate any legislative rules, yet he has been suspended for the entire session, which is outrageous," KTR said.
KTR further criticized the decision, stating that Jagadish Reddy was not given a chance to clarify his stance. "If the Speaker felt offended, he should have expressed his grievance, and the issue could have been resolved amicably," he said. According to KTR, BRS leaders had conveyed their position to the Speaker and Minister D. Sridhar Babu, but their concerns were ignored.
KTR also alleged that the Assembly was adjourned for five hours, during which discussions were held with four ministers and three MLAs before unilaterally deciding on Jagadish Reddy’s suspension. He termed this an arbitrary decision and warned that the Congress government would have to face consequences for its actions.
