Nagam Janardhan Reddy Meets CM Chandrababu

Senior leader and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who served in the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for a long time, met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Assembly. Upon meeting Nagam Janardhan Reddy after a long gap, Chandrababu Naidu greeted him warmly, inquiring about his well-being. “Nagam Garu... how are you? How is your health? It has been a long time since we met,” Chandrababu Naidu said with affection. He also asked about Nagam Janardhan Reddy’s children and inquired about the well-being of his family. The Chief Minister advised him to take care of his health.

Nagam Janardhan Reddy was in Vijayawada on Thursday to appear before the Public Representatives Court as part of the ongoing legal proceedings related to the Obulapuram mining case. Several cases were filed against Telugu Desam leaders during the united Andhra Pradesh era in connection with protests regarding this issue. Expressing his satisfaction over the dismissal of those cases, Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the legal outcome.

During the meeting, both leaders reminisced about past events and discussed the public movements they had participated in during the united Andhra Pradesh days. Chandrababu Naidu recalled that Nagam Janardhan Reddy was known as a "firebrand" leader who would charge ahead whenever the party directed him to do so. He also mentioned how emotionally driven Nagam was in his approach to politics.

Nagam Janardhan Reddy expressed his happiness at seeing Chandrababu Naidu become Chief Minister for the fourth time. He stated that both Telugu-speaking states should prosper and that his wish was for Telugu people to achieve success in all fields. Chandrababu Naidu echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of development and progress for Telugu-speaking communities.
