Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Shares Exciting Update on ‘SSMB 29’

Tollywood’s acclaimed director S.S. Rajamouli and superstar Mahesh Babu are collaborating on a highly anticipated film, tentatively titled SSMB 29. This big-budget project is being produced by K.L. Narayana under the Durga Arts banner. Given that this is Rajamouli’s first film after the massive success of RRR and his first-ever collaboration with Mahesh Babu, expectations are already sky-high.

Notably, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran are playing key roles in the film. The movie is currently being shot in Odisha at a rapid pace.

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida recently shared an interesting update about the film's shoot. Taking to social media platform ‘X’, she expressed pride in Odisha hosting the film’s production. She stated that this would not only promote the state’s tourism sector but also position Odisha as a prime destination for film shootings.

"Just as Pushpa 2 was shot in Malkangiri earlier, now SSMB 29, directed by the renowned S.S. Rajamouli, is being filmed in Koraput. The film stars Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran, and internationally acclaimed actress Priyanka Chopra. This is a great opportunity for Odisha’s tourism industry," Parida wrote.

She further emphasized that the ongoing shoot could lead to Odisha becoming a major hub for future film productions and tourism. "We welcome all film industries to shoot in our state. We assure complete support and world-class facilities for film productions," she added.
