Another Case Filed Against Vallabhaneni Vamsi in Gannavaram

Former MLA and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who was recently arrested in a kidnapping case, has now been booked in another case in Gannavaram. Three cases had already been registered against him in various police stations within the constituency. On Tuesday night, the police registered a new case based on a complaint filed by Jasti Murali Krishna from Marlapalem village.

According to Murali Krishna and the police report, there is an 18-acre pond known as Panakala Cheruvu on the outskirts of Marlapalem. For over four decades, 15 villagers had been cultivating portions of the land surrounding the pond. In 2023, while serving as an MLA, Vallabhaneni Vamsi reportedly ordered the villagers to vacate the land. He then took possession of the land, claiming it would be developed for public use.

Subsequently, excavation work was carried out on the land, and the extracted soil was sold. In his complaint, Murali Krishna alleged that Vamsi had deceived the farmers by promising alternative land in exchange for the seized property but failed to fulfill the commitment. Following the complaint, the police registered a case, naming Vallabhaneni Vamsi as Accused No. 1 (A1), Anagani Ravi as A2, Ranga as A3, Sheshu as A4, and Mechineni Babu as A5. Further investigation is underway.
