CID Files PT Warrant Against Vallabhaneni Vamsi in Court

Vallabhaneni Vamsi, a YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader, is currently on remand at Vijayawada jail in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a young man named Satyavardhan, who worked as a computer operator at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gannavaram. His remand period is set to end tomorrow.

The police have already filed a petition before the Vijayawada SC/ST Court, seeking 10 days of custody to interrogate Vamsi regarding the case. The court has completed the hearing on this petition, and an order is expected to be issued today. The court’s decision has drawn significant anticipation.

Meanwhile, the CID has also filed a prisoner transit (PT) warrant against Vamsi in connection with the attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram. The Third Additional Chief Metropolitan (ACM) Court has directed that Vamsi be presented before the court tomorrow regarding this case.

Notably, the Andhra Pradesh High Court had earlier dismissed Vamsi’s anticipatory bail petition in this case. Following this development, CID officials are now preparing to take further legal action against him.
