'Max' Movie Sets OTT Record!

The Kannada film Max, starring Kichcha Sudeep, has created a new record in the OTT space. Known for his distinctive acting style, Sudeep carefully selects roles that suit his persona. Directed by Vijay Kartikeyaa, Max was released in theaters on December 25 last year and received an average response from audiences.

Despite its moderate theatrical performance, the film has witnessed massive success on digital platforms. Streaming giant ZEE5 acquired the rights to Max, making it available in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam from February 15. The movie has seen an extraordinary response on OTT, emerging as the highest-grossing film within its first four days of streaming. In doing so, it broke the previous record set by the Malayalam movie Mise.

Max follows the story of a police officer who takes charge of a new police station. On his very first night, the heirs of local political leaders are found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the station. As the police officers attempt to cover up the incident, the narrative unfolds, revealing unexpected twists and challenges for the protagonist.
