Telugu Actresses Should Not Be Encouraged: Producer SKN

Producer SKN (Srinivas Kumar Naidu) has sparked controversy with his remarks about Telugu actresses. Speaking at the pre-release event of the film Return of Dragon, SKN stated that he and director Sai Rajesh have decided not to promote Telugu-speaking actresses anymore.
“We admire heroines who do not speak Telugu because we recently understood what happens when we support Telugu-speaking actresses,” SKN said. His remarks are being interpreted as a reference to actress Vaishnavi Chaitanya. SKN introduced Vaishnavi as the lead actress in Baby, which became a major success. Following the film’s success, Vaishnavi Chaitanya has signed projects with actors Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anand Deverakonda.
Reports suggest that SKN offered her another film under his production banner, but she declined. This has led to speculation that his comments were directed at her. His statements have drawn criticism from some netizens, who argue that making such remarks at a time when Telugu actresses are gaining prominence is inappropriate.
