Key Development in Vallabhaneni Vamsi Case

A significant development has taken place in the case involving YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who was arrested on charges of kidnapping a Dalit man named Satyavardhan. Currently in judicial remand, Vamsi is the subject of a police petition seeking 10 days of custody, which has been filed in the Special SC/ST Court.

At the same time, Vamsi’s legal team has submitted a bail petition, citing health concerns. In the petition, Vamsi requested a bed in jail, special medical facilities, and permission to receive food from home. He also alleged that the case against him was filed with malicious intent and as part of a conspiracy. Vamsi claimed that the charges of kidnapping Satyavardhan were falsely imposed on him.

The court has accepted both petitions for hearing and has issued notices to both parties. The next hearing has been scheduled for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Vamsi has been sleeping on the floor in jail. Authorities have increased security around his cell, installing a curtain to prevent outside visibility. Given the presence of inmates involved in cases related to blade gangs and drug offenses, jail officials are taking precautions to ensure Vamsi’s safety.
