Pawan Kalyan Announces ₹50 Lakh Donation to NTR Trust

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan attended a grand musical night organized by the NTR Trust in Vijayawada. During the event, he announced a substantial donation of ₹50 lakh to support thalassemia patients through the trust.

Speaking at the event, Pawan Kalyan revealed that he had initially instructed his team to purchase a ticket for his attendance. However, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, wife of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, informed him that purchasing a ticket was unnecessary and that his presence alone was sufficient. "I felt guilty about attending without a ticket, so as my contribution, I am donating ₹50 lakh to the NTR Trust for the aid of thalassemia patients," he stated.

Pawan Kalyan also highlighted the responsiveness of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s office towards those in need. "Some affected individuals approach me for help, and whenever I write to the Chief Minister’s office regarding their concerns, his response has always been remarkable," he added.

Praising the event, Pawan Kalyan remarked that the musical night proved that entertainment and philanthropy could go hand in hand. He extended congratulations to music director Thaman for orchestrating the musical performances.

Expressing deep admiration for Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Pawan Kalyan lauded her resilience, stating that her unwavering determination, even during challenging times, is inspiring. He also spoke about actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, noting that he instinctively refers to him as "Sir" out of respect, though Balakrishna insists on being addressed as "Balayya."

Describing Balakrishna’s persona as unique, Pawan Kalyan stated, "He is not someone who is concerned about what others think. He firmly stands by his beliefs. His performances have captivated audiences for generations. Whether in cinema or public service, he remains steadfast in his commitment. It is for this reason that the Central Government honored him with the Padma Bhushan award."
