Congress Appoints New In-Charge for Telangana: Meenakshi Natarajan

The Congress party has announced new in-charges for nine states, replacing Deepa Das Munshi as the Telangana state in-charge. Meenakshi Natarajan has been appointed as the new in-charge for Telangana.
Meenakshi Natarajan was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Mandsaur Lok Sabha constituency in Madhya Pradesh in 2009. She has been a key member of Rahul Gandhi’s team. From 1999 to 2002, she served as the president of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), followed by a tenure as the president of the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress from 2002 to 2005. In 2008, Rahul Gandhi appointed her as an All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary, and in 2009, she secured a victory from Mandsaur in the Lok Sabha elections.
According to sources, Telangana Congress leaders had submitted several complaints to the party high command against Deepa Das Munshi. Allegations included unilateral decision-making and failure to establish coordination among party leaders. In light of these concerns, the party decided to replace her with a new in-charge for the state.
Along with Telangana, the Congress high command has also appointed new in-charges for Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Manipur, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
