All Evidence Considered in Arresting Vamsi: Vangalapudi Anitha

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has responded to the arrest of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, stating that the arrest was made based on strong evidence. Addressing concerns raised by YSRCP leaders, who claimed the arrest was unlawful, Anitha asserted that due legal procedures were followed. She remarked that the incident reflected the principle of karma.

Commenting on a separate incident, Anitha termed the loss of Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani’s gunman’s bag—containing a magazine with 30 bullets—as unfortunate. She attributed the loss to the gunman’s negligence and confirmed that a departmental inquiry was underway.

Meanwhile, another Minister Savitha strongly condemned acts of violence, alleging that the attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office, intimidation of the complainant in a case, and incidents of kidnapping were unacceptable. She also criticized past instances of misconduct in the state assembly, claiming that former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had displayed "sadistic pleasure" in such situations.

Savitha further accused the past governance of disrespecting women, referencing past events where Chandrababu Naidu’s wife, Bhuvaneshwari, was allegedly humiliated in the assembly. She stated that history and mythology serve as evidence that regimes that insult women ultimately collapse. Additionally, she made serious allegations regarding past political violence, including attacks on family members and Amaravati women protesters.
