YS Jagan Strongly Condemns Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s Arrest

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has strongly reacted to the arrest of former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi. He condemned the arrest and alleged that law and justice have been disregarded in the state. Jagan accused the ruling alliance of extreme abuse of power and implementing what he described as a "Red Book Constitution." He further alleged that illegal arrests are undermining the fundamental principles of the Constitution. Taking to social media, Jagan warned that the ruling coalition would be held responsible for any harm to Vamsi’s safety.

“The manner in which the Chandrababu-led coalition government is handling Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s case is utterly unjust,” Jagan alleged. He claimed that a Dalit youth had testified before a judge that he was pressured by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to falsely implicate Vamsi in the Gannavaram case. Jagan asserted that this testimony exposed the ruling party’s conspiracy. He accused Chandrababu Naidu of resorting to "malicious tactics" to cover up these developments.

Jagan further questioned, “On the very day the youth gave his statement, police and TDP workers allegedly went to his family and threatened them. Is this acceptable? This case is under the purview of the Supreme Court, and the lower court is investigating it following the Supreme Court’s directives. When facts proving the case was fabricated are coming to light, isn’t it an abuse of power to undermine the entire investigation, judicial process, and even the judge?”

Additionally, Jagan condemned what he described as a false case against former Denduluru MLA Kotharu Abbayya Chowdary. He alleged that a TDP MLA verbally abused Abbayya Chowdary’s driver at a wedding venue and then falsely filed an SC/ST case against Abbayya Chowdary himself. “Millions of people have seen the video of the TDP MLA’s verbal abuse. So, who should actually be held accountable?” Jagan questioned.

Addressing Chandrababu Naidu directly, Jagan tweeted, “Unable to fulfill your promises, you are diverting public attention by filing false cases against our party leaders and making illegal arrests. The people are recording your misdeeds, and you will have to pay the price for them.”
