Vallabhaneni Vamsi Remanded for 14 Days; Wife Alleges Threat to His Life

Vijayawada court has remanded YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with a case involving kidnapping, assault, and threats.

Speaking to the media, Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s wife, Pankaja Sri, expressed concerns about her husband's safety, alleging that his life is in danger. She further claimed that the police behaved aggressively towards Vamsi during interrogation at the police station. Pankaja Sri asserted that she would pursue legal action against his arrest, calling it illegal and politically motivated. She also stated that her husband informed the magistrate about threats to his life.

In court proceedings, arguments were presented by Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy on behalf of Vamsi, while Veeragandham Rajendra Prasad represented the government. The hearing initially continued until 1:45 AM, but as a resolution was not reached, the judge extended the session for another 30 minutes to hear both sides. Following this, the court ordered 14-day judicial custody for Vamsi, along with co-accused Sivarama Krishna and Lakshmipathi.
