Ram Madhvani’s ‘The Waking of a Nation’ Teaser Released
The Jallianwala Bagh massacre is a well-known historical event, but the hidden truths behind it and the atrocities of the British government at the time are set to be unveiled in the upcoming web series The Waking of a Nation. The series is scheduled to stream on SonyLIV from March 7.
National Award-winning and International Emmy-nominated filmmaker Ram Madhvani has directed this project. The teaser for the series has been officially released, offering a glimpse into the intense narrative.
Actor Taruk Raina plays the role of Kanthilal Sahni, a lawyer who fights against the distortion of history by the Hunter Commission. The teaser raises intriguing questions—Did Kanthilal uncover the real truth? What obstacles did he face in his quest for justice? The gripping teaser has been cut to leave the audience eager for answers.
Produced under the banner of Ram Madhvani Films by Ram Madhvani and Amita Madhvani, The Waking of a Nation features an ensemble cast, including Taruk Raina, Nikita Dutta, Sahil Mehta, Bhavashil Singh, Alex Reece, and Paul McEwan.
