Ram Charan’s Upcoming Film Inspired by Legendary Wrestler Kodi Rammurthy Naidu?

Following the mixed response to his previous film Game Changer, actor Ram Charan is taking extra care with his next project. He is currently working on a film directed by Buchi Babu Sana, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. The movie is being produced by Satish Kilari, with music composed by A.R. Rahman.

The team recently completed another schedule in Hyderabad, and nearly 25 days of shooting have been wrapped up so far. The makers are aiming to release the film either during the Dussehra festival or Sankranti next year, with a well-structured production plan in place.

This upcoming film is set against a period-action backdrop with a strong rural connection. According to sources, Ram Charan will be portraying the role of a wrestler. There is speculation that the story is inspired by the life and legacy of the renowned Telugu wrestler Kodi Rammurthy Naidu. Reports suggest that Charan’s character is born in Veeraghattam, Srikakulam—Naidu’s birthplace—and follows in his footsteps by undergoing rigorous training in wrestling before representing India in competitions.

The action sequences in the film are expected to be choreographed by a globally renowned fight master. The project is currently being developed under the working title Peddi, and it is likely to be finalized as the official title. The filmmakers have expressed their dedication to making this a landmark film in Ram Charan’s career.
