Veteran Tollywood producer Allu Aravind addressed the media to clarify remarks he made at a recent event that led to trolling on social media. He stated that his words were misconstrued as an attempt to belittle actor Ram Charan, but he had no such intention.
Allu Aravind explained that while introducing producer Dil Raju on stage, he mentioned the latter’s struggles with income tax issues over the past week. However, this statement was misinterpreted, leading to backlash from Ram Charan's fans.
"I am being trolled for allegedly making comments that downplay Ram Charan’s stature. Everyone is aware of this controversy. When a senior journalist recently asked me about it, I said it was not the right time to respond. But today, I want to clarify publicly—while welcoming Dil Raju on stage, I casually mentioned his recent challenges related to income tax and financial matters.
Mega fans felt hurt by those remarks and started trolling me. Charan is like my son, my only nephew, and I am his only uncle. That’s why I am speaking with such emotion. Please, let this matter rest. Charan and I share a wonderful bond. That day, I spoke in that manner only to describe Dil Raju's situation, but later, I felt I shouldn't have said it that way."
