Jana Sena Leader Kiran Royal’s Accuser Lakshmi Taken into Custody by Rajasthan Police

Lakshmi, who had recently accused Jana Sena Party Tirupati constituency in-charge Kiran Royal of defrauding her of ₹1.20 crore and threatening to harm her children, has been arrested by Rajasthan Police. Her arrest comes amidst controversy over private videos of Kiran Royal circulating on social media, which led the Jana Sena high command to temporarily distance him from the party.

In a dramatic turn of events, Rajasthan Police took Lakshmi into custody today while she was leaving a press conference at the Tirupati Press Club. She was arrested in connection with an online cheating case, with Jaipur Police leading the investigation. Reports indicate that Lakshmi had been evading authorities, but her recent media appearances drew the attention of Rajasthan Police, who arrested her in Tirupati and transferred her to SV University Police Station.

Earlier in the day, Lakshmi held a press conference where she once again criticized Kiran Royal. She stated that she had no political affiliations and urged Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to intervene and ensure justice for her.

Lakshmi questioned Kiran Royal's claims that their financial dealings had been settled a decade ago, asking why he had issued a bond just two years ago if that were true. She alleged that since Jana Sena is in power, no one is questioning Kiran Royal or holding him accountable for the alleged injustice against her.

She further claimed that Kiran Royal and others had spoken about her in an insulting manner and reiterated that she and her children were in danger because of him. She urged authorities to ensure justice for her children even if something were to happen to her.

Lakshmi also alleged that Kiran Royal had physically assaulted another woman inside her home. She claimed the woman was too afraid to report the incident and instead confided in Lakshmi over the phone. Calling him a "despicable man," Lakshmi insisted that he must not be allowed to escape justice.
