Ananya Panday Was Reluctant to Act in 'Liger': Chunky Panday

Bollywood actress Ananya Panday was hesitant to take up her role in the pan-India film Liger, her father, veteran actor and producer Chunky Panday, revealed in a recent interview. The film, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Puri Jagannadh, was a major box office failure.

Chunky Panday stated that Ananya was uncomfortable when she was offered the role. "She told me she looked too young and didn't suit the heroine's role," he said. However, he convinced her by emphasizing that Liger was a big project and could bring her significant recognition if successful.

After the film’s release and the subsequent negative reviews, Chunky Panday admitted that Ananya’s concerns were valid. "She did appear very young for the role," he remarked. He further stated that he no longer advises her on project choices, as she now makes her own career decisions. "She is selecting roles that she likes and is moving forward in her career," he added.
