Player of the Match, Player of the Tournament—All Awards for Gongadi Trisha!

Telugu cricketer Gongadi Trisha delivered an outstanding performance in the ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, playing a crucial role in Team India’s title victory. In the final against South Africa, Trisha showcased her all-round skills by taking three wickets while conceding just 15 runs in her four overs. She then played a match-winning knock, scoring an unbeaten 44 runs off 33 balls during the chase.

Trisha's exceptional all-round performance earned her not only the Player of the Match award but also the prestigious Player of the Tournament honor. She amassed a total of 309 runs throughout the World Cup and also claimed seven wickets. Additionally, Trisha was the only player in the tournament to score a century.

The Player of the Tournament award was presented to Trisha by ICC Hall of Fame inductee and former Indian women’s cricketer Neetu David. Speaking on the occasion, Trisha dedicated the award to her father, stating, "I always see myself as an all-rounder. My goal is to play more matches for the national team and bring more victories to the country."

Early Beginnings in Cricket

Born in Bhadrachalam, Telangana, Trisha started playing cricket at the age of two. By the time she was nine, she had already made it to Hyderabad's Under-16 team, showcasing her early talent. She later played at the Under-23 level as well. Known for her sharp spin bowling that troubles opposition batters, Trisha is equally dominant with the bat, displaying powerful strokeplay whenever she steps onto the crease.
