Who is Kashyap Patel?
Born in 1980 in New York to Gujarati parents, Kashyap Patel was raised in East Africa before returning to the United States. He graduated from Garden City High School in Long Island and later completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond. Patel earned his law degree and a certification in international law from the University College London Faculty of Laws in the United Kingdom.
Patel has previously served as a national security advisor and senior counsel to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI). If confirmed, he would make history as the first Hindu and the first Indian-American FBI Director.
