KTR and Harish Rao Hail Trisha Gongadi’s Record-Breaking Knock in U-19 World Cup

Telangana cricketer Trisha Gongadi has made history by becoming the first female player to score a century in the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup. Her remarkable achievement has drawn praise from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President and former minister K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) and senior BRS leader Harish Rao.

KTR lauded Trisha's outstanding performance, highlighting that her success not only brought honor to India but also amplified Telangana’s recognition on the global stage. "We hope to see you as the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team in the future," KTR remarked.

Former minister Harish Rao also applauded Trisha’s stellar all-round display, noting that she scored 110 runs and took three key wickets. "Her brilliant performance has made everyone proud," he stated. He further emphasized that Trisha serves as an inspiration to aspiring women cricketers and will be a role model for future generations.

Trisha Gongadi, who has been consistently excelling at the international level, set a new benchmark in the ongoing ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia. In Tuesday’s Super Six match against Scotland, she remained unbeaten with 110 runs off just 59 balls, including 13 fours and 4 sixes. She reached her century in just 53 balls, making history as the first-ever centurion in the tournament.
