Sridhar Babu Announces Plans for Two IT Parks in Hyderabad

Telangana Minister Sridhar Babu announced plans to establish two new IT parks in Hyderabad, similar to the Hi-Tech City, to further boost the city's thriving IT sector. During a meeting at the Secretariat with representatives from 'Due' Software Company, the minister revealed that the company has expressed interest in investing ₹100 crore in Telangana.
Sridhar Babu highlighted Hyderabad's rapid growth as an IT hub and noted that prominent companies are increasingly choosing Telangana for their investments. “We are conducting a feasibility study to determine the appropriate locations and the scale of land required for the new IT parks. We aim to identify suitable areas on the city’s outskirts,” he said.
The minister assured that the IT parks would be equipped with all necessary infrastructure and designed to ensure convenient access from any part of the city.
Sridhar Babu also mentioned that Telangana is committed to encouraging companies to invest in the IT parks and emphasized the need for a clear policy regarding land allotments. “Currently, there is no specific policy for land allocation, which has caused challenges for industrialists. We have decided to introduce a special policy to address this,” he stated. The minister clarified that land would be allocated based on the investment amount and the number of jobs created by the companies.
