New Registration Values in Andhra Pradesh Effective from February 1: Minister Anagani Satya Prasad

Andhra Pradesh Revenue, Registration, and Stamps Minister Anagani Satya Prasad announced that new property registration values will come into effect across the state from February 1, 2025. Speaking to the media at the state secretariat on Monday, the minister said that an extensive review process has already been conducted in preparation for this change.
He clarified that there would be no changes in registration values in the capital region villages. However, in areas categorized as growth centers, where the market value is ten times higher, the registration values will be increased. Additionally, the minister noted that in some areas where registration values exceed market rates, the values will be reduced to align with actual market conditions.
Anagani Satya Prasad further alleged that during the previous government’s tenure, large-scale land encroachments were carried out using Mandal Revenue Officers (MROs) as intermediaries. He emphasized that individuals who unlawfully occupied lands belonging to the poor would not be spared, and strict action would be taken against all officials found guilty of such misconduct.
To address land-related disputes comprehensively, the minister announced that committees involving district collectors would be established to study specific issues, including matters related to 22-A lands, G.O. 596, and four other significant categories.
