Venkatesh’s Career-Best Overseas Collection with Sankranthiki Vasthunam
Victory Venkatesh’s latest film Sankranthiki Vasthunam is shattering box office records. Released on January 14 as a festive treat for Sankranti, the film has so far collected ₹260 crore worldwide. The production house has expressed confidence that the movie will cross the ₹300 crore mark soon. It further stated that theaters have been running houseful since the release.
In the past 24 hours alone, 1.7 lakh tickets for Sankranthiki Vasthunam were booked on BookMyShow. Directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Venkatesh alongside Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh, the film has garnered widespread praise, particularly from family audiences. On its fifth day, the movie became the second-highest-grossing Telugu film in Andhra Pradesh, Ceeded, and Nizam regions.
The production team also revealed that Sankranthiki Vasthunam is setting overseas records. It has become the highest-grossing overseas film in Venkatesh’s career, collecting $2.6 million in North America so far. The producers are optimistic that it will soon join the $3 million club.
