Ram Charan and Buchi Babu's Film Title Confirmed: "Peddi"
The title for Ram Charan's upcoming film with director Buchi Babu Sana has been finalized as Peddi. The announcement is expected to be made official on Ram Charan's birthday in March.
The film, produced under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas in association with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, is being helmed by Kilaru Satish. Janhvi Kapoor will star opposite Ram Charan in the lead female role, while renowned composer A.R. Rahman will provide the music.
Filming for this period sports drama recently commenced with a schedule in Mysore but is currently on hold to accommodate Ram Charan's promotions for his other film, Game Changer. The next schedule is set to resume on January 27 in Hyderabad on a specially constructed set.
According to sources, Ram Charan will portray a diverse role as a sportsperson, with the story set against a period backdrop. The working title of the project, RC 16, has been in circulation for some time, but reliable sources indicate that the title Peddi has now been locked in. This title is said to have a strong thematic connection to the film’s plot and resonates with its mass appeal.
The makers are also planning to release a teaser glimpse along with the official title announcement on Ram Charan’s birthday in March.
Prominent cinematographer Rathnavelu is handling the visuals for this film, while veteran actor Jagapathi Babu will appear in a significant role.
