Father Sends Viral ‘Monalisa’ from Kumbh Mela Back Home

A young woman nicknamed ‘Monalisa,’ who gained instant fame during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, has been sent back to her home in Indore by her father. Monalisa Bhonsle, whose innocent smile and striking blue eyes captivated thousands on the internet, became an overnight sensation after a viral video garnered over 15 million views.

However, her newfound fame impacted her business of selling garlands at the event. According to social media user Sachin Gupta, who revealed the news on platform X, visitors began flocking to Monalisa not to buy garlands but to take selfies and videos with her. Gupta mentioned that only a few customers were purchasing her garlands, while the majority prioritized capturing moments with her, forcing her father to make the difficult decision to bring her back home.

Referred to affectionately by netizens as the ‘Brown Beauty,’ Monalisa’s simplicity and charm left a lasting impression on people worldwide. Despite her popularity, the unintended consequences of her viral fame disrupted her livelihood. YouTubers and visitors specifically sought her out for photos and videos, which overshadowed her primary business activity at the Kumbh Mela.

Observing this trend, Monalisa’s father decided it was no longer beneficial for her to stay at the mela and opted to send her back to their home in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
