Venkatesh’s ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ Sets Box Office Ablaze
The latest Tollywood release, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, starring veteran actor Venkatesh and directed by Anil Ravipudi, has been generating significant buzz since its worldwide release on Tuesday, coinciding with the Sankranti festival. The film received positive reviews from its very first screening, contributing to its impressive box office performance.
According to the makers, the film grossed ₹45 crore worldwide on its opening day. By the end of the second day, the movie had amassed a total of ₹77 crore (gross). With strong ticket sales continuing on platforms like BookMyShow, industry analysts estimate that the film is well on its way to entering the ₹100 crore club soon.
The film’s success is attributed to its clean family entertainer appeal and its release during the festive season, which traditionally boosts box office collections. The comedy sequences led by Venkatesh’s family have been particularly well-received by family audiences.
Bheems Ceciroleo composed the music for the film, while Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary starred alongside Venkatesh in lead roles. Produced by noted filmmakers Dil Raju and Sirish, the film has continued its strong run, with audiences praising its engaging narrative and festive charm.
